President Director Loi Siew Kee or often called Allan Loi reportedly was dismissed
Jakarta - Bad news came to the American tire manufacturer, PT Goodyear Indonesia Tbk. President Director Loi Siew Kee or who is often called Allan Loi reportedly was dismissed improperly.
This news came from Allan Loi's attorney, Kario Lumbanradja. Kario said Allan came to him, and asked for legal assistance because he felt the termination of employment (PHK) he experienced without going through the right procedure. Allan felt he was fired unilaterally by Goodyear.
"Yes it's true, it's like that (Allan went to Kario-Red), the story was on August 2, 2018, he was as usual to his office in Bogor, Goodyear Indonesia. Then there (Goodyear Indonesia-Red office) Allan met someone of US citizenship who served or received assignments for the Asia Pacific region based in Shanghai, "said Kario.
"Then they spoke. One of them, told Allan, you were not included in the company restructuring. Then Allan was presented with a file that had to be signed, which contained resignation. Allan said Kario refused to sign it.
"Then he is not willing to not sign it, if Allan usually deals with Goodyear Global using email and Skype, now he cannot access anymore. If asked, until now Goodyear or through their legal counsel said there were no layoffs," Kario said.
detikOto also tried to seek confirmation from PT Goodyear Indonesia, through the Head Communication Wicaksono Soebroto. But unfortunately Wicak has not been able to comment much on the subject.

Goodyear with unaproriate dismissal in Indonesia
The President Director of PT Goodyear Indonesia TBK, Loi Siew Kee known as Allan Loi must accept the harsh reality of being fired from the place of work on the grounds of not being included in the Company's Restructuring plan.
According to Allan Loi's attorney Kario Lumbanradja, the termination of employment (PHK) received by his client was very arrogant, it was unaproriate dismissal.
"He (Allan Loi) came to the office, when he arrived at his office then someone from a higher level but outside the structure of PT Goodyear Indonesia TBK mentioned Allan Loi will not included in the company restructuring plan so you just go home," said Kario mimicking the words his client received, to reporters, in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Monday (17 / 9).
Kario explained that in this case, Allan Loi, a Malaysian citizen, was assigned as Director, until through the results of the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) of PT Goodyear Indonesia Tbk, he was appointed as President Director.
For this reason, Kario reiterated that the termination brought down the morality and arbitrariness of the WNA, actions that were not feasible to be carried out in labor relations in the Republic of Indonesia.
"Without giving an opportunity to defend themselves before the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) as stipulated in Article 105 and Article 119 of the Limited Liability Company Law No. 40 of year 2007," said Kario.
Another thing that according to Kario is strange is that the termination is actually done by someone who is not in the structure of PT Goodyear Indonesia TBK. "Apparently people who say so, are not people who are in the Public (TBK) company but people who are above the level," he said.
"The PT Goodyear Indonesia TBK are 85% owned by Goodyear Rubber & Tyre and 15% owned by the public, those who speak are Asia-Pacific level," he added.
Aligning the problem and seeking justice, Kario sent a letter to the HRD Director and to the Board of Commissioners of PT Goodyear Indonesia Tbk, but until now they have not found the best solution even though they met with the attorney of PT. Goodyear Indonesia Tbk
